Principal's Message
WELCOME CMMS STUDENTS, FAMILIES, AND COMMUNITY!
My name is Brittany Corpuz, and I am honored to continue serving as your Principal here at Cougar Mountain. This year marks my 7th year as the Principal of CMMS, following three years I served as the Assistant Principal. Before joining Cougar Mountain, I taught 1st grade at Graham Elementary and spent the first nine years of my career as a Teacher, Instructional Coach, and Grant Director at a Native Tribal school. Education has always been my passion, and I truly love every aspect of this work.
Each day, my goal is to help our students grow into capable, connected, and contributing members of our community. On a personal note, my family is deeply rooted in education as well. My daughter, Kai’leia, is 18 and beginning her senior year at Graham Kapowsin High School, while my son, Keh’ano, is 15 and entering his freshman year at GKHS. My husband, Brian Corpuz, is a 5th grade teacher at Spanaway Elementary. As a family, we are wholeheartedly committed—both personally and professionally—to ensuring the success of students here in the Bethel School District.
I look forward to another amazing year together. Cougar Pride!
With gratitude,
Brittany Corpuz
